Reports reaching our news desk indicate that at least 6 Al-Shabab operatives have being arrested along the Kenya-Somali border.
The six which include 2 women were travelling on a Toyota
Land Cruiser before they were flagged down by the Kenya Police for a regular
checkup.
3 grenades, 2 pistols and 84 ammunitions were recovered from
their vehicle.
The six are suspected to have links with Al-Shabab and that
their aim was to carry out attacks inside Kenya especially in Garissa, the
Headquarters of North Eastern Province.
A senior Kenyan Police officer name Philip Tuma told the
Press that the six have being taken to Dhadhaab Refugee Camp where there will
face further investigations and terrorism charges.
