Somalia Government delegation led by the Minister for Defense today arrived in Baydhoa, the headquarters of Baay Province.

Abdihakin Haji Fiqi, the Defense Minister was accompanied by the commander of the national army among other high dignitaries.

The delegation was warmly received at the airport by senior provincial administrators, government officers and army chiefs.

The minister is expected to hold talks with generals and commanders from the Somali army so as to evaluate government operations, equipment and the security situation in the region.

The Minister for Defense, Mr. Haji Fiqi has already toured several locations in Southern and Central Somalia including the Middle and Lower Shabelle and Kismayo, the headquarters of lower Juba region.
